Today we finally celebrated our decorated/unpacked apartment and went to Deep Ellum. We visited Good Records, which was founded by Tim DeLaughter of The Polyphonic Spree. It was so incredibly hard to find, but quite pleasant inside. Very clean, good selection, and the entire upstairs was devoted to vinyl. We picked up the newest Indian Jewelry and Joan of Arc. I'm excited because they also have shows there every once in a while.
After that we drove around a few golf courses... Will is itching to get out there! Hopefully his coworkers are golfers.
We headed through downtown and it was awesome and I'm pretty sure King Tut is in Dallas right now? I've been seeing his gold lil face advertised all over the place.

Then we decided to check out the apartments we almost rented and see just how "unsafe" it was. Pffffft. I'm pretty sure we could have handled it, but whatevs we can't regret our decision to stick to the suburbs.
We also found a gorgeous Beverly Hills-esque neighborhood in the middle of a semi-ghetto. Odd placement, but it was one of those wide streets I've always dreamed of living on with big towering trees on each side.

And Keith, this is for you:

We ate lunch at a deli called Baker Bros., and they had the same tropical iced tea that Cheesecake Factory serves! Delish!!
And if you're curious, here are pictures of the apartment. Enjoy!

First of all, I have to say that you two are disgustingly cute - mainly because you sent out the little change of address cards and they were adorable. Secondly, I wish I was as brave as you guys! The place looks awesome - definitely looks like an area that is more your pace. I hope that you love every second of it. The apartment looks great! :) Take lots and lots more pictures because I want to live vicariously through you. I'm sorry that I missed you before you left... but I will definitely have to venture down that way sometime, when I can actually manage to save up some money - and you can show me the town! :)
Love you guys.

Thanks girl! I'm so glad you got the address card. They were sent from a small town in Tennessee and are arriving at very different times for different people.
We will definitely keep updating and keep taking pictures, check often and comment oftener! hahah
I'm sorry we missed each other too, but I understand how crazy you were moving back into your dad's. If anyone can understand being busy while moving, it's us.
Finally, save up money ASAP and come visit. We already know many awesome places to take you.
Love you!
