The weekend is winding down, and I am really not looking forward to this week. Will has his first work travel situation and has to leave on my birthday. I would easily give up gifts for the rest of my life if it would guarantee spending every birthday with him.
On Friday night, we went out with my lovely boss and her husband for some Mediterranean food. It was delicious! I'm pretty sure we'll be going back when Mom visits so she can get some chicken shawarma (shawerma?)! After dinner, we all went to see some improv in Deep Ellum since her sister in law was performing. Most of them were funny (the sis included), but a few thought they were funnier than they really are. Afterward we walked over to a bar/burger joint and my boss's sister in law proved some serious story-telling skills. She is really funny and one of the most energized people I've ever met.
Yesterday Will and I shopped a bit for other people, and went to see American Teen! It was so accurate in describing high school with profiles of stereotypes. I loved it! There's a movie theater at Mockingbird Station that shows mostly independent films, so that's good to know about. They also serve dinner? And wine and beer? Loves it! Perhaps we will live in the Mockingbird Station Lofts. Although living above an Urban Outfitters and American Apparel might eventually get kinda expensive for me.
Here's a picture that Will took of the Las Colinas flower clock while I was pumping gas.

Oh boy! Well, you get to wake up on your birthday with Will and say bye to him! You're gonna really be missed here, too! First time ever, I haven't been with you on your birthday. It's weird and part of being a mom, I suppose. Heck, in no time flat, Will will return, and you'll be looking forward to your time with him. I think you'll have a wonderful birthday no matter when it's celebrated. Your weekend with your boss and hubby, sounds like it was a blast! I LOVE the picture of the Las Colinas clock! I looked at the Mockingbird Station Lofts online and it looks real nice. Lotsa shops as you mention, and yeah, prolly potentially expensive - hahaha! As for American Teen - not my cup of tea, but it looks interesting. The concept is quite interesting, to say the least.
I'll be waiting to hear how your birthday luncheon went! I'm sure you'll have fun!
I made a huge pot of beer chili for tonight. Sara is coming to spend the night. We're working on wedding things...paper supplies and such. I'll give you a call tomorrow evening!
